There’s no doubt about it, moving can be an extremely stressful time. Wrapping things up at your current home, while trying to prepare for your new location is a lot of work. Moving isn’t something that requires little to no preparation. Especially if you are getting ready for a long distance move. What Should I Do 2 Months Before Moving?

There really isn’t a lot that can be done earlier than 8 weeks before you move. Here are some items that can be accomplished about 8 weeks before you move:
• Take a look at your freezer and make a plan to use up as much as you can.
• Start sorting through your belongings and decide what you are going to take with you.
• Decide on the moving company that will be helping you move.
• Look into what expenses might be tax deductible.

• Notify any subscriptions of your new address.
• Fill out a change of address form with USPS so you don’t miss any mail that still might get sent to your old address.
